|2014 Christmas Stroll & Lighted Parade||September 24, 2014 - 03:55pm|
This family fun event kicks off with the lighting of the
Courthouse Square Christmas trees and is followed by the
Downtown Parade of Lights. This light-filled, old-fashioned parade winds through the streets of downtown and finishes with a special appearance from Santa Clause arriving on a fire truck. Downtown businesses will be open before and after the parade so you can fill up on food and unique gifts.

The 9th annual Kid Fish has been rescheduled from October 18 to October 25, 2014
Kid Fish has grown to be one of our most popular events of the year. Hundreds of pounds of catfish are dumped into the outdoor leisure pool and anglers of all ages can attempt to hook the big one. Bring your own pole or use the ones on site. Trophies are awarded to the top catchers. Kid Fish is brought to you each year from our generous sponsors: Brenham Elks Lodge 979, Blue Bell Creameries and a host of additional sponsors each year. This program is for children ages 2-16.

Water distribution system improvements will be done in the following areas:
- Drumm St from Eldon to Edward
- Edward St from Eldon to Drumm
- Eldon St from Munz to west cul-de-sac
- Munz from Meadow Lane to Jefferson
- Meadow Lane from Jefferson to Munz
The work started August 25, 2014 and will take approximately 3 to 4 months.

Dear Brenham Resident:
As the Communication Director for our city, we have contracted with Codered to provide an Emergency Mass Notification System. During an emergency, utilizing Codered's system, we will be able to quickly send important information to our residents via email, text message and/or voice call.
Authorized staff members will collect and facilitate these messages. Codered already possesses a substantial database that contains some residential contact information. But, you may want to access the opt-in site via the link and review or supplement your contact information. There is no charge to you to participate. We hope that you will take time to participate in this program, so that we may better communicate with you during an emergency.
If you have signed up for Alerted in the past, your contact information is being transfered to Codered and you won't have to sign up a second time.
