Design a Bookmark Contest - Monday 9/1 - 9/15
One winner will be chosen from different age groups. The winning design will be reproduced as an actual bookmark that we distribute at the library.
Refreshments and Concert by Sugartree - Monday 9/15 - 6:00pm - 7:00pm
Come get a library card and see what we have to offer as we stay open an hour later. Enjoy the performance by Sugartree, a musical duo that plays a wide variety of music (from country and bluegrass standards to oldies rock and roll), all with great vocals and beautiful harmonies. Lou-Lou Barbour sings and plays upright bass, banjo and harmonica. The other half of this dynamic duo, Cathy Sterman, sings and plays guitar.
Free Replacement Library Card - Monday 9/15 - 9/20
Did you lose your library card? Is the card you have falling apart? This week we will waive the $2 card replacement fee. Get a new one for free!
All Month Long:
Amnesty Month: Bring back your overdue or missing library materials during the month of September and we will forgive your fines! It doesn't matter if you have had the book for 6 days, 6 months, or 6 years, just bring it in.
Food for Fines: Can't find your missing library item? You can have $1.00 forgiven for each canned, non-perishable item you bring into the library during the month of September
Spring Break Story Time: Monday 6:15pm, Tuesday 4:00pm, and Wednesday 10:15amStorytime with Miss Lou Lou- Tuesdays at 2:00pm for elementary aged kids (4:00pm starting in September)

The library offers a variety of services for both adults and children. There are over 48,000 items to check out. This number includes books (regular and large print), tapes, CD's, DVD's, and a genealogy collection. In addition the Library subscribes to 60 magazines. Services offered include, Internet, ILC, faxing and text enlarger/reader machines.
The library offers programs for seniors at area assisted care facilities and story time for children throughout the year. Each summer, the library has a summer reading program with special programs held on Tuesdays.
Library cards are available for children five and older; a parent or legal guardian's signature is required for children up to the age of 16. A photo ID and proof of residency are also required. Library cards are free. Replacement cards are available for $2.00
There are several public access computers, with connectivity to the Internet. Library patrons must register in advance to use the computers and must provide a current photo ID and have no fines or overdue items. There is a one-hour time limit, which can be extended if there are no other patrons waiting.
